Build Recognition of YOUR Name
John jumped out of real estate a couple of years back when he saw the Internet was going to be a big thing for business. He read everything he could get his hands on about Internet biz. John started is online business, building a trickle of customers into a virtual flood. Before you knew it, a big corporation was standing checkbook in hand ready to buy John's company.
Is John now going to take his money and start over from scratch? You bet he is. But he's not exactly starting from the beginning. While John was building up his company's name, he was also including his own PERSONAL name on everything. Customers not only got to know John's company, they also know John.
While someone else has paid big bucks to own his first company, John carries lots of personal name recognition. Many customers will see his new company as the creation of an old friend. That will give his new company a BIG head start.
The moral to this story--put your name on what you do. Make sure YOU become as well known as your company name. Name recognition is a powerful marketing tool. Do your best to forever own a chunk of the name recognition you work to create.
